Coexistence with Local Communities
Establishment of a Pedestrian Bridge in Nakanoshima 3-chome
As part of the joint development of Nakanoshima 3-chome in Osaka, conducted through a joint venture, Nakanoshima Shiki-no-Oka garden has been linked by a pedestrian bridge to the promenade beside the Dojima River, which runs past the site's northern side.
The bridge also connects to the Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka, which opened in Nakanoshima 4-chome, on the site's western side. The bridge increases foot traffic in the Nakanoshima district and helps improve pedestrian safety by separating walking areas from those used by cars.

Disaster-Prevention Measures (Disaster-Prevention Drills)
We implement annual disaster-prevention drills at our buildings in order to provide office buildings where people can work with peace of mind. The objective of these drills is to increase disaster-prevention knowledge among tenants. As well as the checking of evacuation routes, the drills include the experience of smoke and use of fire extinguishers, held on the building rooftop or elsewhere in cooperation with the local fire station.

Nakanoshima West Water Sprinkling Project
Together with other local companies we have been conducting the Nakanoshima West Water Sprinkling Project in the Nakanoshima district of Osaka since 2013. The sprinkling of water on streets to curb the heat-island effect and create a cool sensation in summer is a long-standing custom of the Japanese.

Nakanoshima Litter Cleanup Activities
Together with other local companies in the Nakanoshima district of Osaka, since 2012 we have been implementing litter cleanup activities along walkways and in the surrounding area from the Oebashi to the Tamaebashi bridges across the Dojima River.

Chiyoda-ku Disaster-Prevention Drills to Respond to Stranded Persons
Together with other companies and groups in the vicinity of Akihabara Station in Tokyo, since 2010 we have been implementing disaster-prevention drills aimed at responding to stranded persons with the objective of bolstering the support setup for people who would have difficulty getting home in the event of a major earthquake.

Installation of AEDs and Life-Saving Courses
We have installed automated external defibrillator (AED) devices at our main buildings so that they can be easily accessed by tenants and visitors. In addition, Group employees take courses to learn how to use the AED devices and emergency life-saving techniques.

Cooperation in Osaka Classic
Osaka Classic, which began in 2006, is a classical music festival enjoyed even by people who are not so familiar with classical music. The main venues for the concerts include parts of office buildings and cafes. To contribute to local cultural activities, since September 2009 Daibiru has been providing atrium spaces in the Nakanoshima Daibiru Building, Daibiru-Honkan Building, and Shin-Daibiru Building as stages for various orchestras, including the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra.

Donation of Dojima Park
In March 2015, in conjunction with the construction of the Shin-Daibiru Building, we made improvements to Dojima Park on the south side of the building and donated it to the city of Osaka. Daibiru had donated the land occupied by Dojima Park to the city of Osaka in 1959 after creating a green park there. That park was later cleared away to make room for an expressway, but then it was rebuilt in 1977. Due to dilapidation, the city of Osaka and local residents held consultations, and it was decided to rebuild the park again. The improvements in 2015 included measures to prevent illegal parking, increased lighting, and more paving and greenery to create a bright and clean park.

OPEN HOUSE OSAKA
Daibiru takes part in the OPEN HOUSE OSAKA, an event in which, like Open House London, buildings are opened to the public free of charge so that people can experience architecture firsthand. To date, we have implemented such programs as guided tours of the Daibiru-Honkan Building and opening to the public of the Midosuji Daibiru Building.

Social Contribution Activities in Vietnam
We also conduct social contribution activities when required in Vietnam, where Daibiru began business in 2012. Our wish is to develop together with the nation by contributing to the solution of issues faced by local communities and society at large. In 2021 Daibiru and our local subsidiaries in Vietnam donated 600 million Vietnamese dong to the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund, set up for the import and purchase of vaccines, research and development, and the implementation of measures to curb infection. In addition, in 2024, in cooperation with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd., we contributed condolence money to support disaster victims and the recovery of disaster areas after a typhoon made landfall in Vietnam. We also implement such initiatives as charity events to support orphans living in institutions, homeless people, and others.
