Learn our history Building construction DNA passed down for 100 years
Daibiru, the symbol of Osaka in its boom era
In the 1920s, Osaka outpaced Tokyo to become Japan’s leading city. The former Daibiru-Honkan Building stood in the heart of the city, representing the pinnacle of Taisho era architecture, with its highly artistic design and intricate engravings.
A pioneer of office building construction for a century
The former Daibiru-Honkan Building was more than just grand. It was also reinforced for seismic resistance, based on lessons learned from the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake. In fact, it was the first building in Osaka to incorporate earthquake-resistant construction.

Harmonizing building construction with the natural environment: Japan’s first-ever rooftop tree garden
Despite the post-war trend of prioritizing economic growth, Daibiru installed Japan’s first-ever rooftop tree garden, based on the belief “To engage in civil engineering that can develop land while also protecting nature is proof that intellect resides in humanity.”
Nurturing human resources who produce new value to create buildings and towns
Daibiru believes that an office building’s value lies in its ability to contribute to the advancement of a town. We thoroughly evaluate the land and buildings we acquire on the assumption of long-term ownership to pioneer the future of towns and those working with us.
