9. The Completion of Violette Takarazuka

  • Violette Takarazuka

From May 1968 to March 1971, Daibiru acquired 7,839 m2 of land at 2 Mukoyama, Takarazuka. The property included a house that had been used as a welfare facility, but it was dilapidated, so Daibiru sought to combine it with adjacent properties and commercialize it. The site was conveniently located just three minutes on foot from Takarazuka-Minamiguchi Station on the Hankyu Imazu Line. Because the surrounding area was a residential neighborhood with a relaxing atmosphere, Daibiru decided, after conducting multiple studies together with Haseko Corporation, to construct a large condominium on the basis of a government program for expanding the supply of quality rental housing. This program would allow Daibiru to use public funds to construct a high-quality rental property on its own land, and a designated private corporation (Haseko Livenet, Inc., a subsidiary of Haseko Corporation) would in principle manage the property for a period of 20 years, during which a fixed portion of the rent paid by tenants would be subsidized by the City of Takarazuka for a fixed period of time.

The rental condominium building was named Violette Takarazuka after the violet, which was the official flower of Takarazuka. It was designed and constructed by Haseko Corporation. Construction began in May 1997 and was completed in August 1998.
